SUMMARY

The Compensation Associate provides analytical support in implementing, analyzing and administering compensation processes and programs for Chickasaw Nation Industries. This position assists the Compensation Analyst in reviewing and developing compliant job descriptions, participating in salary surveys and participating in special projects, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists in the design, development, communication, administration and implementation of compensation programs and policies. Helps to ensure successful implementation of compensation programs and initiatives.

Uses exceptional discretion in the handling of confidential and highly sensitive information.

Reviews, analyzes, creates and revises job descriptions. Audits jobs for content, and consults with managers and supervisors to obtain information regarding job responsibilities, activities, duties and content. Will receive training to assist in evaluating FLSA exemption status and physical / mental requirements of positions.

Receives training to conduct market and internal equity analyses, as well as job evaluations. Interprets survey data, and determines competitive positioning.

Uses Workday HRIS software to enter Compensation data on a daily basis. Experience with Workday HRIS software is a plus.

Assists in tracking commissions and bonuses for incentives and Total Rewards programs.

Assists with annual salary survey and paygrade audits, as assigned.

Assists with annual Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Reporting and other reports, as assigned.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. 

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant Compensation experience; or equivalent combination of education / experience. Experience with Workday HRIS software is a plus.

Exceptional customer service skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees, including key management officials or their representatives

Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion

Skilled proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows / Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability to coordinate efforts with others to find mutually acceptable solutions for the successful achievement of goals

Highly detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Excellent organization skills with ability to schedule, plan and organize assignments having complex variables and circumstances

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
