The Security Escort provides support by escorting skilled workers during maintenance and construction activity for the Department of Defense.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides escort services for uncleared contractors providing construction, maintenance and repair works on various facilities.
Ensures all visiting personnel "Sign In/Sign Out" in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
Escorts uncleared workers to the restroom, break rooms, lunch areas and other areas as required while keeping them in assigned areas in secured environments.
Ensures that all escorts announce the presence of un-cleared personnel when entering office spaces within the secured areas.
Ensures proper housekeeping practices are strictly adhered to.
Interacts professionally with customers, contractors, vendors and staff members; maintains effective working relationships in cooperation with the management team to meet the mission objectives of the contract.
Observes uncleared workers while they perform their work duties to ensure they are not accessing sensitive or classified areas, documents, and/or materials.
Notifies leadership of unique situations and problems encountered.
Communicates/updates leadership on progress of jobs being escorted.
Meets safety performance standards.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of one (1) year relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Experience in facility/physical security and on-site escort experience a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION
Current TS/SCI security clearance and must maintain this level of clearance
Personal Security Investigation (PSI) completed within the last 5 years
U.S. Citizens only due to government or federal requirement
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Good verbal communication skills are essential
Must be self-directed, have excellent organizational skills with good follow through and the ability to follow processes in place
Must be vigilant and report all suspicious or non-compliant behaviors or conditions
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to complete and maintain Customer-specific escort requirements.

Exposure to hazardous working conditions including moving machinery, electricity and/or working in high places. May be exposed to hot objects, flames or sparks. The job requires the use of protective equipment such as hard hats, respirators, aprons, gloves, special clothing, safety shoes and safety glasses. May be required to wear safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
