The Qualitative Researcher leads the development and maintenance of Enterprise Process Life Cycle documentation on custom software development projects. This position coordinates with the software development team, understands the requirements for specific releases, develops new artifacts, or maintains existing documents. The Qualitative Researcher should have strong writing and editing skills, especially on technical projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for resolving highly complex documentation and communication issues.
Schedules, conducts and participates in the project team meetings.
Responsible for developing project artifacts to meet CMS standards. Supports monthly CMS reviews and addresses non-compliances.
Develops meeting agendas, attends meetings, prepares meeting minutes, incorporates feedback from attendees and distributes the meeting minutes to all attendees.
Understands the entire project context and demonstrates the knowledge of design, development, maintenance of software development and product related documentation and communication.
Reviews content of technical documentation, ensures that documents follow the style laid out in the company's style guide, writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses, and coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of one or more technical writing and editing methodologies.
Uses expertise to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex documentation and communication problems and offers writing and editing solutions at an advanced level.
Applies an advanced understanding of the principles of writing and editing.
Uses a thorough understanding of key business processes and communicates and translates those communications and documentation needs to business and technical teams.
Uses expert skills in writing and editing to resolve problems in documentation and communication.
Performs complex technical writing and editing in a Federal government environment.
Interacts with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and documentation objectives.
Possesses previous experience working on Agile projects.
Responsible for running the meeting as well as providing meeting minutes and tracking deliverables for all activities in a timely manner.
Establishes an initial plan for future meetings schedule, sets up and runs meetings.
Establishes a list and timeline of all deliverables at a stakeholder level necessary to ensure completion of the activities.
Keeps minutes, tracks deliverables and sends a report to authorized staff.
Reviews potential processes, forms, and tools that will be used during the execution of a task.
All follows up after a meeting to ensure the processes and protocols are followed.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Bachelor’s degree in English Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education / experience and minimum of five (5) years’ software development experience. Exposure and experience in working on EPLC Projects is preferred. Experience working in a Federal government environment preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Relevant work experience in development of documents like software specifications, user guides, training materials etc.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Productivity Tools
Must demonstrate an understanding of EPLC as it pertains to development of project documents
Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented with ability to grasp quickly business needs and issues
Self-motivated with proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment

Ability to adhere to regularly scheduled business hours
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
