SUMMARY
The Telecommunications Project Manager provides administrative and technical planning and support in the migration from a Nortel SL100 system to a Cisco platform during a modernization project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.
Provides highly technical and specialized experience in enterprise telecommunications system migrations.
Coordinates telecommunications migration activities including gathering requirements and translating features from old system to new system.
Create customer facing documents for migration plan and procedures.
Maintains configuration of migration activities between the old and the new systems.
Coordinates client project activities related to telecommunications tasks.
Coordinates and communicates with team members, both CNI and the client.
Manages porting process and telephone number assignments.
Responsible for the integration between the telephone system and telephone management system (TMS), i.e. billing, work order, and 911.
Tracks and communicates project status.
Coordinates cutovers for end users during the migration period.
May be required to work longer than scheduled hours and on weekends during cutover periods.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Experience with simple and complex voice and data services, i.e. circuits, internet, GPON, analog, toll free, long distance, and teleconference.
Must have prior experience with migrating voice systems from one platform to another, Nortel/Avaya SL100 to Cisco preferred.

U.S. Citizens only due to government or federal requirement

Skilled in Microsoft Office products: Microsoft Excel (Formulas and Pivot Table), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Solid organizational skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities
Detail-oriented with ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the base community. Ability to effectively present information to MCBQ Team and end users.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
