The Acquisition Budget Analyst provides support to the Air Force Civil Engineering (AFCE) Program Management Office (PMO). This position creates, coordinates and provides advice on acquisition documents, budgets, spend plans and expenditures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinates and advises on acquisition documents such as cost estimates, performance work statements, requirements approval documents, and service level agreements.

 

Assists the Project Managers by providing inputs and reviews of budgets, spend plans, and financial worksheets.

 

Tracks current expenditures encompassing software and hardware licenses, support contracts and agreements for civil engineering IT system projects.

 

Coordinates with program management and servicing agencies to facilitate expenditures and meet deadlines.

 

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.

 

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

 

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ of experience (or equivalent combination of education / experience).

 

CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION

Ability to obtain a security clearance if required

Excellent computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Outstanding communication, organization, and problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
