Software Configuration Specialist
The Software Configuration Specialist provides support to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center Enterprise Information Systems Directorate (CECOM SEC-EISD) Legacy Logistics Division, Food Systems Branch. This position maintains configuration management procedures and policies, records and documentation, as well as, physical accountability of hardware and software assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
Ensures compliance with configuration management procedures and policies.
Establishes and maintains configuration status accounting and inventory records of all documents.
Maintains records from approved requirements through design, development, test, and deployment for each system release.
Maintains configuration control installation programs/scripts.
Maintains configuration control technical software documentation and database build scripts.
Develops and maintains system Configuration Management Plans.
Develops risks and Risk Management plans.
Maintains system repositories and requirement management tools.
Maintains physical accountability of hardware and software assets.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years’ of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education / experience). IAT Level One accreditation. Experience involving Security +, Network +, A+, C++, C#, Visual Studio, CA-GEN, .NET, Java, SQL Server/Oracle RDBMS, or Windows OS, WEB/cloud development and/or programming. Minimum of one year experience with the current Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS).
