Senior Program Analyst
The Senior Program Analyst supports the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) Influenza Division (ID). This position analysis data/information, ensures the effective flow of work and maintains administrative, programmatic and technical procedures for the day-to-day operations of the branch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides high level support to the Division of Influenza Director.
Researches, gathers, and analyzes data and information to integrate into a final product, which may be hard copy, disc, or electronically transmitted.
Processes complex international and domestic travel authorizations, vouchers and training request for the Director.
Creates travel itineraries and meeting agendas.
Answers and triages telephone calls and messages from internal/external partners.
Prepares complex reports, briefing documents and presentations.
Manages calendar appointments, schedules meetings, and coordinates visits with internal/external partners.
Plans, coordinates and provides support for senior leadership meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and workshops.
Transcribes meeting notes and distributes to appropriate officials.
Prepares a variety of routine correspondence and other related materials.
Provides assistance with triaging of public inquiry calls and routing of complex inquiries to appropriate staff. Responds to routine inquiries.
Utilizes office automation and computer programs to produce deliverables such as letters, memoranda’s, meeting minutes, fact sheets, and question and answer documents.
Assists with correspondence tracking. Disseminates information, reproduces documents, and transmits facsimiles.
Plans, initiates, and coordinates communication with the Division to ensure timely approval and completion of actions related to the day-to-day operations of the Directors Office.
Participates in Emergency Response activities.
Works independently on specific activities in a professional, efficient and accommodating manner.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.

Operational knowledge and understanding of standard industry scheduling/planning techniques and practices
Skilled proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Detail-oriented with exceptional organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
