The Lead Data Analyst - Health IT Informatics provides project management and data analytical expertise in support of Program Evaluation tasks for the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Immunization Certification Program. This position assists with defining and implementing measurements used to evaluate the effectiveness of program outcomes. Measurements will be designed and validated in Phase 6 (2018- 2019) and continued to be monitored and reported in Phase 7 (2019- 2020).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Acts as lead ensuring evaluation effectiveness of Program performance, performs project management activities including plan definition and execution, reporting, presentation of status to the customer and internal task coordination between Chickasaw Health Consulting (CHC) and subcontractors. This role is responsible for the deliverables defined within the annually approved Evaluation and Data Collection Plans.

  

Acts as liaison between stakeholder groups to define, design, document and deploy a series of measurements for program effectiveness. Uses knowledge of data collection methods, applied analytical tools and communication to apply feedback and produce meaningful reports for stakeholders.

 

Compiles, interprets and presents data analysis, prepares recommendations for ongoing program evaluation metrics.

 

Creates project documentation to support the deployment of an ongoing program evaluation measurement program.

 

Quickly addresses and/or escalates project issues and supports the resolution.

 

Shifts priorities, when necessary, to support urgent business needs.

 

Establishes and maintains working relationships with all levels of the organization.

 

Effectively communicates status, changes, and issues to relevant parties and stakeholders.

 

Develops sustainable analysis tools.

 

Develops data extracts to compile data in a meaningful output to improve efficiency for use in reviews.

 

Ensures end products comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) security and privacy guidelines.

 

Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor.

 

Performs other responsibilities, special assignments or projects as directed, including service on task forces and committees.

 

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

 

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. 

 

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or a related field and a minimum of  three (3) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Three years’ of experience in managing informatics tools or other equivalent analytics tools. Demonstrated working experience in data coordination and visualization. MPH is desirable. Expertise in clinical workflow is highly desired.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Must be able to obtain government security clearance

 

U.S. Citizens / Green Card only due to government or federal requirement

Working knowledge of information care and analytics principles, HIPPA compliance rules and proper security protocols

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including expert level proficiency in Excel such as extensive use of pivot tables, export to visualization tools, and other more advanced techniques

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

Ability to learn new skills and apply them immediately

Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to produce results with minimal supervision

Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills

Effective time management skills, including the ability to initiate work and execute independently

Must have excellent follow through and attention to detail

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
