Senior Mission Project Specialist
The Senior Mission Project Specialist will be responsible for administration, resource management, contract management, budget / cost control, integrated master schedule development and maintenance, stakeholder engagement, training management, operations management, logistics management, contractor lab management, material management and physical security.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists IEN RA Project Leads with the management and execution of project strategies and objectives as well as associated acquisitions, budgets, and activities. The candidates shall possess:
Formulates, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects.
Assists Project Leads with decisions on suitable strategies and objectives.
Coordinates cross-project activities for Project Leads.
Assists with management and evaluation of projects.
Tracks the progress of projects using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
Provides support in the execution of activities for and in monitoring the execution of project work plans and ensures that project activities are properly and realistically scheduled, monitored and reported.
Develops and controls deadlines, budgets, and activities.
Applies change, risk, and resource management.
Acts as backup point of contact in the Project Lead’s absence.
Assesses program performance and aim to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
Prepares reports for Program Directors/Project Leads.
Takes minutes and manages project records with functional proponents and the Project Lead.
Provides direction, maintenance, and updates to the integrated master schedule (IMS)
Reviews / Monitors IT project cost, schedule, and performance on integrators for adherence to PM IEN standards and contractual language.
Inputs current and accurate cost, performance, and schedule data and metrics into Army and PM IEN systems and databases.
Reports project status on a weekly basis (orally and in writing) to key project participants such as senior Army leaders and other project stakeholders.
Facilitates networking interactions between Department of Defense (DoD)/Army customers and industry.
Generates and promotes the use of templates, schedules, and best practices.
Projects overarching scope statements, manage complex IT project plans and necessary changes, and control the project, in part, by leveraging formal change management identifying and mitigating risk.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience, or seventeen (17) years of relevant experience.
