The Instructional Designer supports the federal client by confirming new projects or initiatives falls with-in level of effort, designs and develops training approach, teaching outlines, assessments, delivery methods, and evaluation methodology. Conducts research to understand learner needs, their knowledge and/or performance gaps, and to identify their learning, support, and accountability environment. Envisions, communicates, and obtains buy-in on comprehensive learning strategies that meet business goals and enable learner growth.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance level for access to classified information, systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
Bachelor's degree, Masters in Instructional Design or other relevant degree or certification and a minimum of six (6) years relevant Instructional Design experience.
Experience in adult learning and training required as well as subject expertise in the software or system being taught and documented.
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures that course materials are kept current as new software revisions are released. Ensures that training operations are in accordance with the latest instruction design industry best practices.
Coordinates and develops new training materials as/if needed
Collaborates with program manager and customer to establish business goals, objectives, and timelines.
Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to construct accurate and timely content.
Proactively communicates with the training and development team to ensure alignment and to develop best practices and standards.
Constructs learning paths for effective delivery of content.
Builds and drives learning assessments, including surveys and focus groups.
Reviews and iterates learning experiences based on feedback and results to improve performance outcomes.
Collaborates with team members and supports team development
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, Masters in Instructional Design or other relevant degree or certification and a minimum of six (6) years relevant Instructional Design experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office / home office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear.
