Schedule contracting is acquisition reform in action. Schedule contracts have satisfied all the federal requirements for competition specified in the Competition in Contracting Act, so a great deal of the administrative burden on a federal or state customer is done. Both GSA and NBC guarantees federal customers that the companies on contract are qualified to perform and that they have negotiated for the best price available.
